Have you ever tried to lose weight before, only to successfully feel like you also lost your curves as well? This is a completely normal part of someone’s weight loss journey, since weight loss is a catabolic or “breaking down” process that occurs. But while we may not be able completely to control where all of our weight loss comes from, we can help encourage our body’s to hold on to some of our favorite assets by using my tips below.
Here Are My Bikini Body Tips 101!

1. Eat Enough Protein 🥘
Since weight loss is a catabolic state, the body is going to let go of the tissue that is the most metabolically expensive (uses the most calories!) This is our bodies’ way of trying to maintain homeostasis by reducing our energy expenditure down to the amount of calories we are currently eating. But unfortunately, this means the body will favor letting go of muscle over fat unless we encourage her to do differently. Eating enough protein will help you retain as much muscle as possible, which will you that nice full shape! 🍑 We want healthy and toned not just skinny 💗

2. Lift HEAVY 💪
This is a continuation of point 1, where to encourage your body not to let go of the muscle you’ve worked har dto build, we have to show her we still need it to function in our everyday lives. Have you ever head of the phrase “If you don’t lose it you lose it?” Its true! So if you continue to lift heavy weights you body will realize this muscle mass is valuable, and will hold onto as much of it as possible. This is what will keep or even enhance your curves while still giving you that nice sculpted look!

3. Frequency matters
If you know there is a lagging body part you want to work on – Hit it 3x a week! 3x a week has been shown to be the optimal amount of times a person should work out a body part that they really want to see progress in. It’s not preference, its science. Let’s use what we know to get the best results!

4. Don’t overdo it on the cardio.
Too much cardio can actually cause muscle loss which is exactly what we don’t want. Start with as little time as possible and increase as you need to get to your goal!
