Which one is more reliable while working towards a goal? 🌺
Which one determines your success in the long run? πŸ™Œ
I see many people get this wrong when first starting out in their fitness journey, and put too much of an emphasis on MOTIVATION over Consistency when it should be the other way around. Putting too much attention on the wrong thing can cause a lot of problems, because instead of focusing on what practical steps they can take that they have control over that will definitely get them a step closer to their goals, they put it in emotion which is ever-changing and not-concrete.
Let me explain a little deeper.
Motivation is what GETS YOU GOING. It is the reason WHY you started in the first place, why doing whatever it is is so important to you. πŸ’— But It is NOT what you should rely on. Why?
Because Motivation is fleeting. πŸ’¨ It comes and goes as your emotions and energy do, so you cannot rely on it to get you through.

What is much more steady and trustworthy is your own consistency, something you have complete control over. The key to consistency is found in your daily habits. Once you have picked a goal, ask yourself β€œWhat daily habits can I put in place that will help me get there? How can I make sure to stick to these habits even when obstacles get in the way? Are the habits I’ve picked sustainable long term?”

It’s not what you do once that matters, but what you do as a daily part of your routine that will determine whether you succeed or not.
